Dental implants are titanium posts which are placed into the jawbone, where the rooths missing teeth used to be. Dental implants with their custom-made crowns look, feel and function like natural teeth.
Dental implants are the best treatment option if replacement of missing teeth is needed. Dental implants are long-term replacements and don’t use adjacent teeth as anchors like fixed bridges. Results have been so good lately that we can now give a 10 year guarantee (*) on our dental implants.
Not enough bone for dental implants?
Agave Clinic is now pleased to provide zygomatic implant therapy for patients with severely resorbed upper jaws. The development of zygomatic implants presents a unique alternative for the severly resorbed upper jaw, with only one surgical procedure and without the need for grafting.
This patient has had an implant-supported full bridge in the upper jaw.
The dental implants allow the patient to restore normal masticatory function. Dental implants avoid progressive loss of bone because they are placed in the jaws and act as dental roots, restoring bone function. Because dental implants integrate with your jawbone, they help to keep the bone healthy and intact. With convententional dentures, the bone that previously surrounded the tooth begins to resorb.
To replace single teeth by dental implants crowns need to be placed on the dental implants.
The crowns will be custom made by the dental laboratory after an impression of the dental implants inside the mouth has been taken by the dentist.

Dental bridges literally bridge the gap created by one or more missing teeth.
A dental implant bridge is made up of two crowns for the dental implants on either side of the gap and a false tooth/teeth in between.

Replace all your teeth with the aid of dental implants
If all of your teeth are missing in the upper or lower jaw, you can choose either a full bridge supported by dental implantsor a denture retained by dental implants.
A full bridge is fixed to four or more dental implants and can only be removed by the dentist.
The dental implants supported denture is connected via attachments to two or more dental implants, allowing easy removal. When in place, the denture is firmly attached to the dental implants and there is no risk of it coming loose.
Your exact treatment depends on your individual situation and personal preference. The type and amount of bone, as well as, functional conditions will all play a role in the best treatment option for you. Whether you have a "fixed" bridge or a dental implants supported denture, you will be able to speak, chew and smile with confidence.
In the absence of all teeth, an implant-supported full bridge or denture provides many advantages over conventional dentures. Dental implants integrate into the bone, preserving its health and structural integrity. Conventional dentures, conversely, allow bone to shrink around the missing teeth which can result in a collapsed, unattractive smile.
The increased stability, comfort, and durability of implant-supported full bridges or dentures also facilitate a more natural feel and appearance. They allow the confident consumption of any food.
With the immediate_loading_technique, we can place, when bone conditions are favorable, the bridge over the dental implants on the same day.
For more complex cases of patients with low bone quantity, we work with a computer software that enables us to predict the exact position of a dental implant in the jaw and to prepare the implant bridge prior to surgery (the_Nobel_Guide_system_for_computer-aided
implant insertion). This gives a much higher success rate and allows immediate placement of the dental bridge.
We are extensively experienced in several dental implant techniques and immediate loading which enables us to rehabilitate edentulous jaws in a very short time.
Option 1: Dental implants supported denture
Especially in the lower jaw a conventional full denture can have very little retention. Placement of 2 dental implants in the region of the canines and anchorage of the prosthesis to the dental implants using press buttons or a Dolder bar can solve this problem.
Shown here is a complete lower denture that has special attachments to grab the dental implants.
This is an example of a bar-retained complete lower denture.
Also in the upper jaw dental implants can be used for this reason. The minimum number of dental implants necessary will be 4 to be able to make a Dolder bar on each side. In case of 4 dental implants in the upper jaw we prefer however to make a dental implant bridge.
Option 2: An implant-supported full bridge
A full bridge is fixed to five or more dental implants and can only be removed by the dentist.
Instead of placing a separate crown on top of each dental implant, the crowns are connected to each other to form one piece.
